The Look

...try to stay away from large, distracting logos or stripes. If you want outdoor shots, think about what colors are outdoors…browns, greens, blues. Mix up the style. Bring some dressy, some medium, and some casual clothes. All one look can be dull.

Gents

plan your outfit completely. It is hard to get a football shot if you didn’t bring a football. Plus mom will be pleased that you are prepared ahead of time. Come clean cut and shave those edges!

Ladies

think of texture when choosing outfits…lace, knits, scarves, beading all “pop” nicely in a photograph. Make sure your outfits flatter you. Wild to Mild…many shots are from the waist up. Make sure your color flatters your skin & think about interesting necklines.

Ideas for your session

You maybe want the classic, portrait for an in-home wall portrait, but in addition, what “spice” can you add to an album or a wall grouping?

  • Black and white photo with your hot pink shoes in color
  • You and your guitar in front of our rugged barn board wall
  • You and your sporting equipment; on-location and in the game
  • Skirts, ribbons, hats, heels, flowers, boots, scarf, earrings, belts, prom dress, costumes
  • Boards, dress suit, sunglasses, gel, hobbies, old/new truck or car, animals
  • Location is everything

Pulse offers unique, fresh, and fun on-location and/or studio photography for high school senior photography. A classy, yet contemporary edge to our portraits, is what brings seniors to Pulse.

Your session takes place where you feel comfortable. I will come to the location of your choice, or you may come to my studio. If you do not have a location in mind, I can suggest one or more that will offer you timeless images to meet your photographic vision.

Seniors who would like unique, on-location shoots or who would like to bring special props to the studio must open their mind to the possibilities of their photo session. Keep your eyes open and start writing down ideas.

After the shoot

All images are presented to the client approximately 1 week after the session through our online gallery through www.pulsephotography.com, CLIENT PROOFING. Anna will contact you via email and phone to set up a purchasing session. Prior to this session, it is good to have a “wish” list compiled of print sizes and image numbers. This allows us to compile a collection that is exactly what you want and need. We will also discuss any custom collage, framing, albums, or specialty items you may be interested in.

All images are kept safe and available for any later needs.
